Season Three of ‘Scream’ is Getting a Reboot
Earlier this year I finally decided to give MTV’s “Scream” series a fair chance and started watching it. To be honest, it ain’t bad. In fact, I think it lives up to the “Scream” name overall. Sadly, though, it looks like our time with the survivors of Lakewood is coming to an end.
THR has learned that the third season of “Scream” is getting a complete overhaul and I mean complete. The site is reporting that all of the prominent actors left alive by the end of season 2 will not be returning. Instead the new season will focus on an entirely new group of people. The show is also getting a new showrunner in the form of Brett Matthews who worked on shows like “Supernatural” and “The Vampire Diaries.” The series will also be getting new executive producers including Queen Latifah. An interesting choice for her, but lets not forget she has done some horror work. Like “Sphere” or “The Country Bears.”
THR is saying that the aim of the new season is to be “less white.” What that’ll exactly mean remains to be seen. For now, let us bid a fond farewell to our dearly departed high school friends.
