Sleepy Hollow Debuts to Solid Numbers
Were you one of the many viewers that saw the series premiere of Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” last night? What’d you think? Will you be tuning in next week? Let us know in the comments!
It seems as if the general audience is getting into the Halloween spirit a bit early. ”Sleepy Hollow” made it’s grand premiere last night with a record 10.1 million viewers. According to TVLine, that’s the highest debut Fox has had since 2006. That means that “Sleepy Hollow” was able to beat out the high-profile debuts of such shows as “The Following” and “Terra Nova.”
However, a strong debut doesn’t mean immediate success. Now the show faces it’s next big challenge: will viewers keep tuning in? With most reviews being generally favorable, it would seem that the show has a good chance of keeping it’s head above water.
Then again, this is the time of the year where shows start to make their fall debut and Monday night is a major battleground for networks. It’ll be interesting to see how “Sleepy Hollow” fares in the coming weeks.
