Sony Picks Up Robert Englund’s The Last Showing

We here have been following Robert Englund’s latest flick, The Last Showing, for quite some time, and while we still don’t have any word on a release date, we do know who is handling this sucker in the UK.

According to Screen Daily, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has acquired the UK rights to the film from The Philm Company and SC Films.

The film is directed by Phil Hawkins, and also stars Finn Jones (Game Of Thrones), Emily Berrington (The White Queen), and Keith Allen (Trainspotting).

Synopsis: When a life-long projectionist (Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger) is made redundant he looks to exact his vengeance on a generation that no longer requires his skills. He traps a couple inside his multiplex cinema and manipulates them into becoming characters in a horror film being captured by CCTV cameras.
