Stephen Dorff in Talks for ‘Leatherface’
Personally, I think the world could do with some more Stephen Dorff. I thought after “Blade” we’d be in for some constant Dorff action, but he hasn’t quite risen to the notoriety that I had hope he would. Perhaps his latest role will help put him on the map again.
According to Bloody-Disgusting it would seem as if Stephen Dorff is in talks for a role in the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” prequel “Leatherface.” The site reports that Dorff would play a Texas Ranger name Hal Hartman who carries a serious grudge with the boy who would grow up to become Leatherface.
The upcoming prequel will center on three boys who kidnap a nurse and take her on a insane ride through Texas while being pursued by equally unhinged Texas Ranger. From this terrible incident, one of the three boys will be changed forever and transformed into the iconic killer Leatherface.
“Leatherface” will be directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo who previously worked on the film “Inside.” Production is expected to start in May, but no firm release date has been set.
