‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Will Air in 2017

I think I’m gonna need about eight pairs of eyeballs to keep up with all the awesome TV we have. What with all the awesome shows we have already and the pending return of Tales from the Crypt, it appears as if we will have even more Stranger Things.

The Netflix-hit pretty much took the world by storm. It was awesome, there’s no denying. And we knew there would be more but it’s always nice to get official confirmation, and today that word has come.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the second season will air in 2017 and it will consist of nine episodes from writers/creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

21 Laps will be producing alongside executive producers Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and the Duffer brothers.

In regards to the second season, Ross Duffer stated the following;

We want to retain the tone, but all of our sequels feel a little different. It’s not about just taking another monster — it’s a bigger, badder monster. We want it to feel a little bit different, a little bit darker.”

Matt Duffer added:

It’s going to be very different structurally, which is fun.
