Supernatural Spin-Off in the Works
With San Diego Comic Con finally winding down, and with tears of bitter sorrow stinging my eyes, there are only a few panels left that hold our interest. One of which is the panel for “Supernatural”, which is about to head into it’s ninth season. Fans of the show will know that the season eight finale left us with one hell of a cliffhanger, with every angel being cast out of heaven.
Needless to say, the Winchester brothers are going to have their work cut out for them. Not only will there be pissed off ex-angels roaming around, but there’s still the constant threat of monsters, boogeyman, and other nefarious creatures to worry about. However, it looks like they won’t be fighting the good fight alone.
After the panel Executive Producer Bob Singer revealed that a new character will be revealed around episode 20, the episode that they are featured in will act as a pilot episode for a new series. The character will then go on to be a central figure in the new show. The only other details that we know at this point are that the character will be non-human and that the show will be focused on one location.
Personally, I was hoping for a Castiel and Crowley spin-off series. The two could roam the country, looking for alcohol and hilarious misadventures. Ah well.
