‘Tales From the Crypt’ Is Still Alive – First Promo Clip Within

So, it appears as if the Tales From the Crypt reboot from M. Night Shyamalan is still very much on the cards as Bloody-Disgusting have learned that the show is aiming to air later this year! At the end of last year, Bloody-Disgusting noted that the show had hit a snag due to rights issues and it may very well be the end, but thankfully that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

And even better, a promo clip has emerged online hyping up the new Tales from the Crypt, and it has me stoked! Check it out below and let us know if you too are excited or not?

Back in August, TNT and TBS President Kevin Reilly stated the following regarding the show;

There’s going to be a half-hour anthology and then a one-hour original show with some shorts in between. So it’s part of a whole block. The original half-hour, sort of slightly comedic, kind of twisted [story] that Night [M. Night Shyamalan] himself is going to direct will be a part of it every week. Then we’re going to have rotating original one-hours. Then we’ve got shorts that’ll be part of it too.

And, the whole Crypt Keeper rights issue…

The rights on this are just a disaster. It’s been a mess trying to sort out. There are so many people that seem to have an ownership position on this. So yeah, that’s both a creative and legal thing.

At this time we have no official word, but hopefully something will come through soon. We’ll keep you posted.
