Telltale Releases New Trailer and Song for The Walking Dead
Still coming to grips with the latest episode in Telltale’s “Walking Dead” game series? I won’t spoil anything if you haven’t seen it, but if you’re a fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead or good stories, you should really catch up with the game. Bring the tissues, you’ll be needing them.
However, if you have played the most recent episode, you might recall that during the credits a particularly haunting melody helped to punctuate the desperate situation that Clem now finds herself in. The song is called “In The Pines” and is an old American folk song that apparently dates back to the 1870′s. The version heard in “The Walking Dead” was arranged by Telltale’s composer Jared Emerson-Johnson and performed by Janel Drewis, who works as an animator at the studio. And if that song has bored a hole into your heart, like it has mine, Telltale has now made it available for you to download.
If you visit Telltale’s Bandcamp page right here you can download a free version of the song for your listening pleasure. And if you want more music from “The Walking Dead”, you can also visit Anadel’s Bandcamp page for two additional songs. However, you’ll have to pay for those ones. They’re pretty good, though, and will put you in the mood to cry yourself to sleep.
It looks like Telltale has some grandiose music plans for this season of “The Walking Dead” as they’ve also announced that a soundtrack will be available later this year after the season comes to an end. So keep an eye out for that.
And if you want just a little bit more of Telltale’s “The Walking Dead”, here’s an accolades trailer that you can check out. It doesn’t really show much of the next episode, but it does serve as a nice little recap of the season thus far.
Telltale’s “The Walking Dead- Season Two” is currently available on Steam, XBox 360, PS3, and the App Store.
