The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes Gets a New Date

I’m not sure if there are any fans left in regards to The Amityville Horror franchise, but for those who are and were looking forward to the latest upcoming installment may be in for some disappointment as the film has been set back.

Now usually when a film gets set back its only a couple of months or in some cases just a few days, but sadly in this instance we are talking years. The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes was initially scheduled for a 2012 release, but according to STYD, the film has been set back until January 3, 2014.

According to the site the film “taps into the “found footage” format and presents an ambitious female television news intern, on the verge of breaking the most famous haunted house case in the world, who leads a  team of journalists, clergymen and paranormal researchers into an investigation of the bizarre events that will come to be known as The Amityville Horror, only to unwittingly open a door to the unreal that she may never be able to close.”
