‘The Devil Inside’ Director to Take on ‘The Inhabitant’

“The Devil Inside” did not get much love, even amongst horror movie enthusiasts.  In fact, it was pretty much panned across the board.  However, it had two things in its favor: timing and marketing.  Thanks to an empty weekend and a decent marketing campaign, that movie did gangbusters at the theater pulling in 100 million dollars.  A third of which was made during it’s opening weekend alone.

The reason I bring up “The Devil Inside” is because Deadline is reporting that the film’s director, William Brent Bell, is taking on a horror new horror project.  According to Deadline, Bell will be directing the upcoming film “The Inhabitant”, which is a supernatural thriller in the vein of “The Conjuring.” He’ll be working off a script from writer Stacey Menear, who doesn’t seem to have any other previous credits.
