The Disco Exorcist Boogies Down With a Sequel
The concept behind The Disco Exorcist is just badass, quite frankly. Its one film I’m still yet to see, but its one I must see. It looks awesome, just don’t put those platform shoes and those bell-bottoms away just yet, a sequel has just been announced, its time to get down with The Brother of the Disco Exorcist.
According to our friends over at Fangoria, Richard Griffin has returned to the directors chair to direct the sequel with Tony Nunes on writing duties. The sequel is entitled as The Brother of the Disco Exorcist.
The sequel “is set in the early 1980s and focuses on Roman Romanski (to be played by Jamie Dufault from Griffin’s currently shooting MURDER UNIVERSITY), brother of THE DISCO EXORCIST’s hero Rex Romanski. The plot is being kept under wraps for now, but Scorpio promises that BROTHER will be “a riotous ride of horror/comedy and disco-new-wave sleaze with a punk-tinged chaser. The sequel also promises to take shameful advantage of its 1980s setting and blend bloody, violent horrors with the rampant sexuality of the first film.”
If you missed the initial release of The Disco Exorcist, do not fret as Wide Eyed Releasing will be releasing that one in the Spring.
