The First Trailer for ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ is Here
As a huge fan of the 2014 “Godzilla” film it damn near broke my heart when we found out we weren’t getting a sequel until 2019. Well, four years later and we’re nearly there. With ten months to go Warner Bros has finally dropped the first trailer for “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.” Check it out down below.
In “King of the Monsters” . . .
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
The cast in the new film is absolutely stacked and features the likes of Vera Farmiga, Sally Hawkins, Millie Bobby Brown, Ken Watanabe, Kyle Chandler, Charles Dance, Bradley Whitford, O’Shea Jackson, and Thomas Middleditch. It’s also got the directorial talents of Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat) behind it. So it’s safe to say this movie is in good hands.
While the first trailer for the last Godzilla teased and built up the monster, this one goes all out and gives plenty of money shots of the big guy. The one that gets teased this time around is King Ghidorah, which makes sense as I’m sure his arrival is gonna be quite the moment. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think. “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” hit theaters on in May 2019.
