The Green Inferno Finally Has a Release Date Thanks to Blumhouse

For you Eli Roth fans who have been desperately awaiting the release of “Green Inferno”, your patience is about to be rewarded. Eli Roth revealed on Facebook today that”The Green Inferno” finally has a release date.

As you might recall, Eli’s film was supposed to be released several years ago, but then got pushed back to last year.  Unfortunately, something went down between a financier and Open Road that led to the distributor pulling the film from its release calendar. Now, two years after the original release date, Blumhouse Productions is picking up the pieces and finally putting “Green Inferno” out in theaters. According to the man himself you can expect the tribute to cannibal films to release on September 25th of this year.

There’s no word yet on VOD plans, but they do say in their announcement video that more news should be coming as the film gets closer to it’s release date.
