The Last of Us Wins at GDC
“The Last of Us” love train has rolled into the Game Developer Conference taking place this week in San Francisco, California. Fresh off its victory at the BAFTA Game Awards, “The Last of Us” is continuing to receive praise from the industry.
Naughty Dog’s recent venture into the survival/horror genre has taken home the “Game of the Year” award, beating out other entries like “Gone Home”, “Tomb Raider”, “Super Mario 3D World”, and “Grand Theft Auto V”. They also received recognition for “Best Design” and “Best Narrative.”
The other winner was “Bioshock: Infinite” which was awarded “Best Audio” and “Best Visual Art.” Which is nice to see Bioshock receive some extra recognition as it seems to have fallen to the wayside in the post-”The Last of Us” world we live in now.
