The Most Haunted House in America Gets a Trailer- Check Out ‘Winchester’

I love the mystique of the Winchester house and I’ve been there a few times, but I gotta say, this trailer seems a tad bit much.  Look, I’m not saying the Winchester is or isn’t haunted, but I kinda doubt all this crazy shit went down in that house as this trailer seems to indicate.

“Based on actual events” seems to be taking a pretty loose definition in this trailer, but I’m hoping “Winchester” will still be a damn fine movie.  The cast alone has me excited as it includes the legendary Helen Mirren and Jason Clarke who is a fine actor in his own right.  In the film a doctor (Clarke) is sent to the Winchester house to determine the mental stability of Sarah Winchester (Mirren), the heiress to the Winchester gun fortune.  Sarah believed that the spirits of those killed by the guns her family made were coming to haunt her, so she built her house as giant labyrinth to prevent the spirits from easily finding her.   Nevermind the whole part where ghosts can walk through walls pretty easily.

Winchester will hit theaters on February 2, 2018.  Check out the trailer below.
