The New ‘Day of the Dead’ IS a Remake
Well, as you’re probably aware, there is a new Day of the Dead in the works, but there has been some speculation as to whether or not the new film is a remake or something much different, as the early description of the film sounds like something different altogether. But, our friends over at Dread Central reached out to the powers-that-be to find out just what the heck is going on.
According to the site, the film is a “remake/reboot” with Hector Hernandez Vicens writing and directing the film. Apparently several other writers are also working on the script.
The film’s early description is as follows;
The post-apocalyptic tale follows a former medical student tormented by a dark figure from her past, who happens to be a half-human, half-zombie hell-bent on destroying her.
Johnathon Schaech (Quarantine, Laid to Rest) is attached to star in the film, he will play the half-human/half-zombie character named Max.
Millennium Films and Campbell Grobman Films are handling the upcoming remake with Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson, and James Dudelson on producing duties.
So, how about that? How does this sound to you so far? Let us know what you think and we’ll do our best to keep you updated as the film progresses.
