The Official ‘Evil Dead II’ Board Game Needs Your Help
Have you ever wanted to do battle with deadites but you’ve just never had the opportunity to lay your hands on the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis? Well, with the help of some friends, and a little imagination your dreams can come true as Space Goat Productions are creating the officially licensed Evil Dead II board game and by making a pledge on Kickstarter, you can be one of the first to get your hands on this beauty!
As per their Kickstarter page;
The officially licensed Evil Dead 2 Board Game is the tabletop experience Evil Dead 2 fans have been dying for–featuring at least 8 custom figures with art depicting the terrifying and iconic characters, monsters, and locales from the cult classic film. 2-6 players will work together in 60–90 minute sessions to gather pages of the Ex-Mortis while trying to survive demon attacks, supernatural events, and avoid turning into evil deadites themselves.
You’ll play as your favorite Evil Dead 2 characters (and Jake) as you explore the cabin for missing pages of the Ex-Mortis. If you find all of the pages, you can open a portal to banish the Kandarian Demons and win the game. But you will have to face Deadites, demons, Ash’s Freaking Hand!, that tree, and the deadite versions of your fellow players to do it!
We have a number of reveals planned for the duration of the campaign, so stay tuned for a pdf of the rule book and other groovy sneak peeks.
For the last year, Space Goat has been publishing the critically-acclaimed Evil Dead 2 comic book that cater to hardcore Evil Dead fans. Now we’re doing the same with the official-licensed board game. Space Goat is also the comic book industry’s premier production studio. We’ve provided art and creative services for Marvel, DC, Nike, Microsoft, Universal Studios, Riot Games, and Blizzard Entertainment. You can be sure that this premium box of Deadite-slaying goodness is in good hands.
They need to raise $70,000 but with 33 days to go until the campaign ends, they’ve already amassed a whopping $45,000 at the time of this writing! So, what better way to spend Halloween than with the official Evil Dead II board game, this is going to be freakin’ awesome! Check out your first look below.
