The Original A Nightmare on Elm Street Returns to UK Cinemas This Halloween!
First off, I am sorry for the short notice and I just cannot believe that this news pretty much went under the radar, but its here now. So, brace yourselves my friends as the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, will once again be returning to UK theatres this Halloween, and I for one am absolutely stoked!
Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street, will be rolling out across the UK via Cineworld, so to find out if this is playing near you, hit up their official website.
Iconic boogeyman Freddy Krueger returns to scare everybody senseless for Halloween! Many years ago, child-killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) was burned alive by vigilantes. But now Freddy’s back to take revenge upon his killers’ own children! Innocent young teenager Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) soon finds herself terrorised by this hideous figure while she’s asleep. Back in 1984, Wes Craven came up with one of the scariest concepts in horror film history: the boogeyman who stalks and kills you in your dreams.
Only by remaining awake can you stay alive! Vengeful Freddy is a suitably horrifying figure. Clad in a trademark dirty striped jumper and fedora, he wears a razor-sharp clawed glove. This scarred and merciless murderer quickly took his place alongside Jason and Leatherface as a slasher movie icon. Watch out for the young Johnny Depp in his very first film role as one of Freddy’s earliest victims.
I did have plans for Halloween, but that is out the window now. Bring on the nightmares!
