The Team Behind the BBC ‘Sherlock’ Series Are Making a Dracula Series

From one public domain literary character to another, it looks like the duo behind BBC’s “Sherlock” series is looking to bring Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” to the small screen.

RadioTimes is confirming a report that Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss are teaming up to work on a series of 90-minute episodes based on Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”  If you’ve ever watched a BBC series like “Luther” or “Sherlock” then you’re familiar with how those shows are typically structured.  Usually the episodes act as self-contained movies, but can also feature a thread that connects the episodes together.  With the length and production of the episodes there typically tends to be about three episodes per season.

At this point it sounds like production is in the very early stages as there isn’t an actual script yet.  According to duo it’s likely that the show won’t air until 2019 with production starting sometime next year.  They even mention in the article that they aren’t sure if it’ll be a historical piece or a modern tale.  So come back in a year or so when we have more to share.
