The Walking Dead Returns to Halloween Horror Nights
Fans of both “The Walking Dead” and Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights will be delighted to learn that the hit TV series will once again be returning to the annual Halloween event.
USA Today broke the news that “The Walking Dead” would be returning to both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando for the third year in a row. With the series showing no signs of slowing down, it makes sense that they would continue to partner up with one of the most popular Halloween events in the U.S.
The new mazes/attractions will be based off the most recent season of “The Walking Dead” and it seems like we’ll be visiting the crazy new prison that we saw towards the end of the fourth season. According to USA Today, Hollywood will get a maze set in the prison and a new Terror Tram called ”Terror Tram: Invaded by The Walking Dead.”
Meanwhile, Universal Orlando will begin construction on the largest maze they’ve ever produced for the park, double the size of previous attractions. The new maze will incorporate the aforementioned prison and also the country club where Beth tried to get her first drink. No word on whether or not Peach Schnapps will be available for guests.
This news is breaking at a rather unusual hour. I’m writing this at 1:00 am and the USA Today story went up at 3:00 am east coast time, so I imagine we’ll be hearing more in the morning. I’ll update this article if we get any new videos or press releases to share. In the meantime, let us know if you’re excited to see “The Walking Dead” return to Universal Studios.
