Tom Hiddleston is Coming to Crimson Peak

Trading one distinguished British actor for another, Legendary Pictures has cast Tom Hiddleston in “Crimson Peak” to take over a role that was left vacant when Benedict Cumberbatch left the project earlier this year.

“Crimson Peak” is the next feature film from director Guillermo del Toro and is being billed as a haunted house thriller.  The film stars a few other actors who have recently worked with del Toro including: Charlie Hunnam, Burn Gorman, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, and Jim Beaver.

Tom Hiddleston is joining the horror flick hot of his role in “Avengers” and “Thor” where he gained a great deal of popularity for his portrayal of the villainous Loki.  He can next be seen in the upcoming sequel “Thor: The Dark World.”

“Crimson Peak” is set to start shooting in January 2014.
