UK Horror Anthology Three’s A Shroud
Here we have an upcoming modern UK horror anthology titled Three’s A Shroud, the film consists of three short stories with a framing narrative ‘Two’s A Crowd’ linking them all together. As a fan of anthologies I am all over this one and I can’t wait to see some footage. It should be noted that genre babe Emily Booth stars in this one, in the meantime we have some early details and images below.
The anthology is based upon Dan Brownlie’s short film Bear Scary, the anthology consists of three stories entitled ‘Don’t open The Door’, ‘Born From Raw Emotion’ and ‘The Time Traveller’s Knife’.
Three’s A Shroud is written & directed by Dan Brownlie, David V G Davies Andy and Edwards, with the flick co-written by Suzi Lorraine. The film stars Suzi Lorraine, Emily Booth, Amber Erlandsson, Eleanor James, Brad Moore and Dani Thompson.
Synopsis: “A babysitter wants nothing more than to watch TV as the the child she is caring for sleeps upstairs. Her evening’s enjoyment is spoiled by the child insisting that she tells bedtime stories to him and his teddy – or there will be dire consequences. Annoyed by this, the babysitter tells the child horror stories in order to silence him…
As in classic anthologies, such as Creepshow and Tales From The Crypt, the narrative story also has a sting in it’s tail.”
“STORY 1 ‘DON’T OPEN THE DOOR’ DIRECTED BY DAN BROWNLIE
A couple much like any other couple – work is tough, the
hours of intimacy are short, and the jealousy and fear of
office romances are building tensions that are about to reach boiling point.
Our couple make up like couples do, and everything is back to normal…or is it? As night comes around our man gets a disturbing call from his lady and we find out that something is wrong, something is very wrong. Is this an outbreak of tension and mistrust, a sick game, or something far more sinister?
Don’t Open The Door is a tale of suspense and psychological terror, about a dysfunctional couple who are struggling to keep it together. It’s a creepy, old school ghost story, in the tradition of such tales as The Monkey’s Paw, relying on tension to keep the audience hooked right through to its shocking conclusion.
The man will be played by Brad Moore, and the woman by
Amber Erlandsson.
STORY 2 ‘BORN FROM RAW EMOTION’ DIRECTED BY DAVID V G DAVIES
Mickey is a sought after Photographer who can shoot the stars and name his price, But Mickey has one problem, Sarah. Mickey is obsessed with her but fights his insecurity to tell her his true feelings. that is untill his inner feelings get the better of him.
Born from raw emotion (working title) explores how jealousy, paranoia and obsession can not only be destructive, but take on a life of their own. The film begins as a psychological horror before mutating into a full-blown creature feature, complete with a terrifying monster that will haunt your nightmares.
Inspired by exploring the inner mind and the termoils they cause, Born from raw emotion (working title) re-embraces the creafture feature elements of the Twilight Zone and injects it with Killer Clowns from outer space.
The film will star UK Scream-Queen Emily Booth. Also featuring Michael Gyekye and Steph Wayne, Lauren Bushby and Sophia Disgrace.
STORY 3 ‘THE TIME TRAVELLERS KNIFE’ DIRECTED BY ANDY EDWARDS
Four young girls are celebrating Halloween by getting dressed up, and getting drunk. It soon becomes apparent that they are not alone in the house. One by one, a masked killer stalks and kills the girls. Eventually, one girl, Amelia remains.
Trapped by the killer, and with seemingly no escape, she chances upon a magical watch which transports her back in time a few hours. Amelia now has the chance to live Halloween again – can she remain undetected by her past self, and stop the masked killer? Secrets are discovered, throats are slit, and the truth is
revealed.
The Time Traveller’s Knife is a homage to the slasher movies of the 70s and 80s. Featuring attractive young girls in peril, and a mysterious killer, the film delivers all the thrills you’d expect – with a unique time travel twist.”
