Universal Picks Up Grim Night
Suddenly a few original ideas are being picked up by major studios and its become quite a shock, a good shock mind you. Lets hope more original ideas are picked up.
Anyway according to Deadline, Universal Pictures have just won an auction for a little thriller known as Grim Night. The script was written by Brandon Bestenheider & Allen Bey and the sale is said to be in the high six-figures.
The duo created a little promo trailer (you can view below) which helped seal the deal. Apparently six others were interested but Universal was able to beat them to it.
The film is “about a night that happens once a year globally, where people lock themselves at home and fend off the senseless and random attacks by Grims”
Bryan Bertino & Adrienne Biddle of Unbroken films are partnering with Marc Platt to produce the feature.
