‘Wolf Creek’ Mini-Series Starts Production- Full Cast Announced
Waaaaay back in February of this year we learned that Australian streaming service “Stan” was going to venture into original programming with several new series. Among them included a new “Wolf Creek” mini-series. Now those plans have finally solidified and it looks like Mick Taylor is ready to go hunting again.
Production on the new mini-series kicked off today and Stan revealed that the full cast of actors would include John Jarratt (of course), Lucy Fry (“Vampire Academy”), Deborah Mailman (“Offspring”), Dustin Clare (“Strike Back”), Miranda Tapsell (“Redfern Now”), Richard Cawthorne (“Catching Milat”), Jake Ryan (“Wentworth”), and Jessica Tovey (“Wonderland”). Greg McLean, who wrote and directed the original films, will also return for this mini-series.
Here’s the plot breakdown for the mini-series as reported by Mumbrella:
Wolf Creek, a six-part drama series, is a psychological thriller set in the world that fans of the films will recognise – but this time things are different. At first the pattern is familiar: Mick Taylor targets an American tourist family to terrorise and destroy. But the tables are turned when 19-year-old Eve survives the massacre and starts to rebuild her shattered existence by embarking on a mission of revenge.
Lucy Fry is billed to play Eve in the six part series that is expected to debut in mid-2016. Each episode will be a hour long and will be available all at once.
