‘Wolf Mother’ Debuts on Joblo’s YouTube Channel This November
In the ever evolving film industry, nothing is ever certain and today, we bring some news to shake things up a bit. Erik Peter Carlson’s Wolf Mother is set to be unleashed via our friends over at Joblo on their YouTube channel beginning this November 3rd, and it will be available exclusively there for ten days. The film will then be released theatrically in 2017.
This could be something really neat, especially for indie filmmakers, as it is an absolute slog to get your film released via the traditional methods. So, it will be interesting to see how well this does, and of course, if this is something you guys would be interested in?
From the Press Release:
Media company Joblo and production house Riding Hood Motion Pictures have joined forces to release the long awaited thriller, Wolf Mother, prior to its early 2017 theatrical release. This kidnap thriller, starring Najarra Townsend (Contracted) and Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), will be released exclusively on Joblo’s YouTube channel this November. The film, from director Erik Peter Carlson (Transatlantic Coffee, The Toy Soldiers), also stars: New York stage actor Kevin Pinassi, ex-con Dave Vescio and Maria Olsen.
“In an attempt to rectify their criminal past, a once successful Hollywood starlet, turn prostitute, and a misogynistic thief, set out together to solve a high profile child abduction case in San Francisco.”
The release of Wolf Mother on YouTube is breaking distribution trends. Director Carlson says of the upcoming release: “The traditional indie model has been obsolete for years…with our release on JoBlo’s YouTube Channel, Wolf Mother will be in the hands of millions of people at once around the globe. This is something you could never achieve with traditional indie distribution.”
