XCOM 2 Reveal Trailer Shows the World in a Dire Place

If you were the kind of person that played XCOM to the point that you had a perfect run through with minimal loss of life, you’ll be sad to hear that all of your efforts were in vain.  In XCOM 2 it looks like the Earth is under alien control.

Picking up 20 years after the events of the first game “XCOM 2” places you in charge of a human resistance group who is trying to take one last stand against alien oppressors.  Unfortunately, most of the world seems to be under the belief that living under alien control is the best thing for everyone, so you won’t have access to the huge resources you had in the last game.  It’s definitely an uphill battle this time around.

And while the last “XCOM” game was a multiplatform title that appeared on consoles and PC, it would seem that this new XCOM will be exclusive to the PC.  A bummer for those of us that prefer to do their gaming on a console, but if this means that we get the best possible XCOM than so be it.

IGN revealed the trailer that you can watch below, they also announced that they’ll have the first gameplay footage at this years E3 so stay tuned.
