Zack Ward’s ‘Restoration’ Finds a Home with Uncork’d Entertainment

Despite casting director Alexis Iacono’s refusal to audition any unknown talent for the lead in horror film Restoration, Zack Ward (Transformers) offered the lead role in his directorial debut to Adrian Gaeta on the spot after seeing him in an industry screening for the upcoming thriller Dirty (releasing in June). According to insider reports, Gaeta’s haunting performance certainly played its part in helping to secure the worldwide distribution deal with Uncork’d Entertainment.
Restoration, co-starring three-time Emmy nominee Emily Roya O’Brien, follows the story of a young couple who, while restoring their first home, are taunted and terrified by a ghostly presence clearly attached to their new dwelling.
The film comes from Grit Film Works, co-owned by James Cullen Bressack and Ward. Restoration was co-written by Ward and Bressack. Kenneth Gust, Ace Underhill, Shant Jordan, and Shahen Jordan produce alongside Bressack and Ward.
Restoration comes out May 3rd and will be available On Demand through all major digital and cable TV platforms. It will be available on DVD July 5th.
Synopsis: While renovating their house, a couple finds a diary hidden in the walls, lost for 30 years. Opening the book releases the ghost of a child that haunts their dreams and waking life, driving them to find the cause of her death and release her soul.
