Zoe Saldana to Star in Rosemary’s Baby Miniseries
NBC’s “Rosemary’s Baby” miniseries adaptation is continuing to push forward, even if some fans are lukewarm to the idea, and has landed it’s first big star.
Deadline is reporting that actress Zoe Saldana has signed on to star in the NBC miniseries based on the classic 1968 film. Zoe, who was most recently seen in “Star Trek Into Darkness”, will take on the role originally played by actress Mia Farrow. Roman Polanski directed the original film which centered on an expecting wife who begins to suspect that her husband and neighbors are plotting against her and her baby.
The new miniseries is being directed by Agnieszka Holland from a script by Scott Abbott. Production is expected to start shortly in Paris. More casting news should follow soon enough. With the addition of Zoe Saldana, though, I wonder what other recognizable names will find their way to the project.
