‘Zombieland 2’ is Really Happening with October 2019 Release Date Announced
It has been teased for a while, especially from Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick but, today it has been officially announced. Deadline is reporting that Zombieland 2 is a go over at Sony with with the original film’s director Ruben Fleischer attached to direct. The sequel will also see the return of four familiar faces in the form of Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin.
As for the plot, here’s a little snippet;
In Zombieland 2, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
Production of the film is expected to begin in January 2019 with Gavin Polone returning as producer, while Reese and Wernick will serve as executive producers.
Zombieland 2 has a release date set for October 2019.
